AKWASTOP Hydrophilic Rubber Concrete Joint Waterstop
Waterproofing that's Effective and Efficient for Concrete Joints
AKWASTOP is one of the world’s leading products for preventing water infiltration in concrete construction joints.
It lives up to its name.
Consistent sealing throughout your installation
For new and existing cast-in-place concrete construction joints, as well as around pipes and structural penetrations, AKWASTOP is effective and efficient protection against water penetration. Working as an active barrier for structures under either continuous or intermittent hydrostatic pressure, AKWASTOP substantially reduces the possibility for leaks—its hydrophilic agent absorbs water and expands to seal cracks using the very pressure of the water itself to fill and block any gaps.
Easy installation saves you money
AKWASTOP is also easy on your budget, saving you money in time and installation. With its improved performance predictability, it replaces traditional PVC/Rubber dumbbell waterstops and eliminates the need for special pieces, split-forming, and seams. AKWASTOP is manufactured in lightweight, flexible coils and can be easily installed by a single worker without extensive training—Simply apply it to a prepared surface and press it into place.
How it does it
AKWASTOP features a hydrophilic agent distributed throughout its acrylate polymer matrix and has been successfully tested by independent testing firms to over 70 meters (231 feet) of continuous or intermittent hydrostatic water pressure.
